BUTTERCREAM FROSTING

PREPARE

  1. Using the paddle attachment, whip together butter and shortening on high for 2 minutes.
  2. Add salt and extract. Mix for 1 minute.
  3. Alternate adding powdered sugar and milk on low speed.
  4. Scrape bowl and whip on high for 3 minutes.
1/2 cup (1 stick) Soft Butter:
1 cup Shortening:
1 tsp. Salt:
2 tsp. Vanilla - clear or almond extract:
2 lbs and 1 cup:
